NHBC wanted to bring their Careers site in line with their new corporate site.
This was to give it a more modern look and feel to improve the job application process for users.
Goals included:
- Create the right look and feel for the site, pushing the core values of NHBC.
- Support the production of high quality vehicle decal artwork.
- Present the vacancies in a clear and engaging way, using an interactive map as well as a standard list of available roles.
- Integrate seamlessly with a new role management system.
Challenge
NHBC have a lot to talk about when it comes to the types of roles, the benefits, the training and the opportunities they can provide to employees.
This wasn’t clear or well communicated on their old site. The main aim was to bring everything NHBC are proud of and do well to the fore, in a design that echoed the statements around professional excellence and staying ahead of the competition. The target was to fully engage with everyone who visits the site and make the job application process as clear and simple to use as possible.

The process
Having worked closely with NHBC to come up with the user journeys, wireframes and designs, we then worked through the full development cycle, including hooking into a 3rd party job feed and ultimately launching ahead of schedule.
Client feedback
Feedback from current NHBC employees and users of the new site has been very positive. NHBC have seen an increase in the traffic and number of job applications since launching the new site.
