Website redesign

The challenge
The Mind Shop has existed since 2013. It was initially a place where people could order booklets, leaflets and other resources, but has evolved over time to sell a wide range of products including greetings cards, wedding favours, and household gifts.
The Mind team approached us to update and refresh their online storefront. They wanted to bring it in line with their main website and offer additional functionality to customers, all while continuing to be a valuable source of information online.

Mind Shop: The gift that keeps on giving
Before the website redesign, Mind used Shopify for its online shop. Shopify is a powerful platform with a lot of features, however the Mind team was not making the most of all that Shopify had to offer.
After reviewing other eCommerce platforms, we mutually decided to keep using Shopify. Not only did it contain all the functionality Mind needed to make sales, but the team were experienced in using it, meaning they could get up and running with the new store straightaway.
It was important that there was a seamless transition from the main Mind website to the online shop, which used a different content management system called Umbraco.
We ensured the Mind Shop was distinctive and could be a standalone website in its own right, but was branded in the same way as the main site. We kept some design aspects from the main site, like logos, to provide a sense of familiarity and trust.
As Shopify specialists with years of experience building, developing, and maintaining Shopify sites, we were excited to help Mind optimise its online store. We asked the Mind team what they wanted from their new shop – their priorities were a mobile-friendly site with a simple checkout process.
We created an eCommerce store that is easy to navigate and use on both desktop and mobile devices, using conversion rate optimisation (CRO) to optimise the pages for maximum conversions.
Most importantly, we built a site that would be easy to scale in the future – making it easy for Mind to upload and sell new product ranges online.

Conclusion
The Mind team was delighted with their brand new eCommerce store and pleased that it took advantage of all the features Shopify offers, including Shopify’s accelerated checkout feature – Shop Pay. The team has been using the new site for several months and has received positive feedback from a wide range of stakeholders. We’re proud of this project and we’re looking forward to seeing how Mind’s online shop grows in the future.
