Founded in 1989 in the UK, B.A International originally started as a dental repair house, fixing handpieces for dental practices.
Over time the business grew, not only becoming one of the largest dental repair houses in Europe, but also manufacturing its own specialist dental supplies.

The challenge

Before working with us, B.A International had a basic website that it used to promote its repair services and product range. However, the brand wanted to take things to the next level.

We were asked to redesign B.A International’s website to provide a quality customer experience, as well as implement eCommerce functionality for selling products online – both its own and other brands.

B.A International sells to over 50 countries worldwide, and it wanted to create a website with robust international functionality, offering multi-lingual support and signposting customers to relevant distributors in their country.

Innovative design, forward-thinking functionality

The previous B.A International site was built using Magento. After a scoping session with B.A International, where we got to understand the team’s needs and goals, we recommended WooCommerce as an alternative, with custom-built elements created by our development team.

An eCommerce plugin built for WordPress, WooCommerce is ideal for smaller businesses. It’s simple to use and to update, and comes with an extensive library of extensions that offer a seamless shopping experience to customers. This meant B.A International could add new functionality as the business grew.

Streamlined, easy-to-use navigation was important to B.A International, to make it easy for customers to order what they needed. We implemented a wishlist so customers could create a list of the products they wanted, as well as a search bar and a comparison tool.

We tested everything thoroughly at every step of the redesign process to ensure everything worked well and that customers could find the right products.

Before launching the new site, we imported customer data from the old site to the new one. This meant existing customers could start shopping straight away, without having to create a new account.

The results

The new website launched to great success. Customers loved the clean look and feel, and were happy that they could now buy their most-used products online.

B.A International was so impressed with the website redesign that we continue to carry out ongoing support and maintenance, as well as offering strategic input when needed.

We ensure pages load quickly and keep the site secure. We also analyse customer expectations and trends to make sure B.A. International always provides an exceptional customer experience.

For example, we recently updated the website header to provide additional functionality to customers and improve navigation even further.
