A+E Networks encompass an array of popular channels

They broadcast throughout the UK and Europe, one of which is the highly popular HISTORY channel.

These channels are supported through a variety of digital assets such as emails, banners and printed material.

Goals included:

  • Deliver high quality designs across an array of materials and collateral.
  • Respond quickly to tight deadlines for delivery of designs and iterations.
  • Supply high quality, print-ready, pre-fight checked final files in a variety of languages where required.
  • Adhere to the strong branding of the channel and push the boundaries where we can.
History Channel Marketing Campaign

One of A+E Network’s flagship channels, HISTORY showcases some of the leading and most popular TV shows such as Vikings, Black Sails, Forged in Fire and many more.

Due to the ever-changing and fast-paced nature of the marketing involved, Xigen has supported the fast turnaround production of a variety of different assets across digital and print channels, for several different applications. These items had strict delivery times and for some also required localisation into various languages.

Evolving design

From direct email invitations to client events, through to large format banner displays, the deliverable assets to support the HISTORY channel has been very varied. Throughout the timeline of the channel, the branding has been tweaked and improved and Xigen’s design was also refreshed to reflect these changes to ensure the messaging and impact of the designs shone through.

The more unusual projects were inserts for the lid of chocolate boxes disguised as rugged toolboxes, and video card desk drops showcasing video footage of the leading shows in a portable format. Recently, several supporting large format displays have been produced for the Romanian and Eastern Europe teams.
