Hyster-Yale is a leading manufacturer of a comprehensive line of lift trucks. They drive sales through an independent global network of Hyster® and Yale® retail dealerships, supporting them with several materials, among which are vehicle decal and signage

Our goal was to:

  • Support the production of high quality vehicle decal artwork
  • Provide production quality proof of concepts for building signage for passing onto product companies

Due to the diverse nature of vehicles used by retail dealerships in various global locations, vehicle decal artwork concepts must be customised per vehicle shape and dimensions.

Along with this, Hyster-Yale branding guidelines are to be respected, as well as the wishes of the dealership with regards to logo placement and visibility. The same kinds of issues apply to building signage, as a general set of branding guidelines governs their display, these are restricted by building size, environment and budget restrictions.

Vehicle signage

For vehicle signage where a multi vehicle fleet was a concern, we prepared a proof of concept based on the largest or most common vehicle in that fleet. The concepts would show a variety of product imagery or logo placements. Final artwork was made up of high resolution imagery and vector artwork, aligned with concepts covering the array of vehicles, enabling the print studio to use these as a guide when applying the decals.

Building signage

The same routine was applied to building signage, with a variety of concepts produced, not only in style, but also in terms of implementation which included suggestions for display plinths and decorative suggestions which could be passed onto the sign construction process.
